The Run For City Year program unites and empowers marathon runners across the country to raise awareness and resources for City Year, a non-profit organization whose goal is to end the high school dropout crisis.

OUR MISSION

Every 26 seconds, a student drops out of high school in America. Marathon runners can raise awareness for the dropout crisis, and the solution that City Year presents, with every step of their 26.2-mile journey.

Run for City Year aims to inspire the next generation of leaders committed to keeping students in school and on track.

HOW YOUR SUPPORT HELPS

City Year unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service, giving them the skills and opportunities to change the world. These diverse young leaders help turn around high-need schools and apply the power of national service to help close the education achievement gap by working directly with at-risk children throughout the entire school year to improve student attendance, behavior and coursework.
